We are the one and only sake brewery in Iida City, in the southern part of Nagano, Japan. In 1944, 38 local breweries consolidated into one and Kikusui Brewery was born.
We use underground water from the Central Alps of Japan’s mountains, which is partially sourced by Sarukura no izumi, one of the top 100 natural waters in Japan.
You can enjoy it at room temperature or slightly chilled all year-round. Drinking it on the rocks refreshes your palate on a hot summer day. You will discover a more savory flavor when you warm it during winter.
